Slick and shiny is in right now- whether it be in a metallic, a sequin, an iridescent, a patent or a lacquer, this reflective aesthetic is visible across all categories of fashion, especially in anything translating to cocktail or evening. (You’ve probably seen it on this Spring’s red carpets/award shows!)

Some of my favorites in this realm are items bordering on campy, cheesy, almost Barbi-esque. (Maybe because they harken back to childhood where you accessorize with abandon- the shinier, the more glittery the better.) You have to be careful styling items this campy and keep a balance to maintain a certain taste-level, if you will. (You don’t want to cross the line into tacky… lol. )
